The Fergus Curling Club Board of Directors is excited to inform our membership and newcomers that we plan to open our club for the 2021-22 season, subject to the recommendations of our Public Health Authority and safety guidelines. We worked very hard last year to seek solutions to the issues regarding sanitizing, physically distancing on and off the ice, masks, bar procedures etc. but as we all know, we were unable to open for several reasons. For the upcoming season we will be ready to put all safety measures into practice if recommended by Public Health. No restrictions at all would be great! Please keep checking our website, Facebook page, Hack and Back, or email campaigns for more info.
Your Board has been working diligently during this year of non-curling. We have reviewed our protocols and physical plant for next season. We have amended our Constitution to bring it into line with current needs and compliance. And most excitingly, we have drafted a Strategic Plan to meet our foreseeable needs as we move forward in an ever-expanding community. Stay tuned.
The Board sends a sincere thank you to everyone for your support of our club either through full registrations or sustainability donations last season. We hope we can all meet again in September 2021. Stay safe everyone.
